LG Sinha Chairs UHQ Meet, Reviews Security and Yatra Preparedness

Srinagar May 20 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired the Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting at Raj Bhawan, Srinagar, to review the overall security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

The meeting was attended by senior officers from the Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), J&K Police, intelligence agencies, and civil administration. Key attendees included Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, DGP Nalin Prabhat, GoC 15 Corps Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, GoC 16 Corps Lt Gen P. K. The Lieutenant Governor praised the armed forces, security agencies, and J&K Police for the recent success of 'Operation Sindoor' and the neutralisation of terrorists.

He directed all security forces to conduct precise, intelligence-based operations to eliminate terrorist threats and dismantle their support networks. Emphasizing a comprehensive strategy, he urged all agencies to work collectively towards achieving a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.

The LG also reviewed the security arrangements for the Shri Amarnathji Yatra, scheduled from July 3 to August 9, 2025, and instructed senior officers to ensure foolproof security for a safe and peaceful pilgrimage.
