Srinagar, Oct 5 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday felicitated the top performers and winners of the Abacus Learning of Higher Arithmetic (ALOHA) State Level Arithmetic Operations Contest held at the University of Kashmir. The event saw participation from more than 1,500 students across Jammu and Kashmir.
Congratulating the young achievers, the Lieutenant Governor praised their exceptional arithmetic skills and lauded ALOHA for giving students a platform to explore their true potential.
“Growth of Jammu and Kashmir is directly linked with the growth of our youth. They have a mission of transforming J&K and the nation. With resolve and dedication, they can achieve this mission,” LG Sinha said.
He assured full support from the administration to create an environment that helps young minds become talented scholars, scientists, and innovators.
Highlighting the importance of mathematics in shaping analytical abilities, LG Sinha said, “Arithmetic operations are not just about numbers. The Lieutenant Governor also emphasized that the ultimate goal of education should go beyond marks and certificates. “Education is about building the nation’s future. Teachers have the responsibility to nurture curiosity and creativity in students,” he added.
Encouraging the youth to take bold and independent steps, LG Sinha said, “In an unpredictable world, innovation cannot be achieved by following the beaten track. The young generation should be more entrepreneurial, adventurous, creative, and think outside the box.”
He also called for collective efforts to make schools hubs of curiosity and innovation, where classrooms become launchpads for ideas and aspirations.
