Srinagar, July 31, (KNS): In a dramatic second qualifier of the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League, powered by Athwas Hyundai and the J&K Sports Council, Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC triumphed over Arco United FC in a tense penalty shootout to earn their spot in the tournament final. This high-stakes match, held at a jam-packed stadium, ended in a goalless draw in regular time and was ultimately decided by penalties — marking the first time in the league’s history that a knockout game was settled this way. Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC kept their composure to win the shootout 4-1.

Adnan Ayoub of Aqua Kashmir Avengers FC earned the Kings Player of the Match title for his consistent impact throughout the game.
The award ceremony was attended by prominent guests including Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council; Anisa Nabi, Chief Sports Officer; Javid Ahmad, District Sports Officer Central; and Mohammad Maqbool Lone of New JK Roadways.
