Let’s join hands to liberate this oppressed nation: Shah asks pro-India politicians

Hails Tariq Karra’s decision, appeals others to join ‘freedom movement’

Srinagar, Sep 16 (KNS): Following the resignation of PDP MP Tariq Hameed Karra, Chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Friday expressed hope that pro-India politicians and their followers “will set an example” by joining the freedom movement.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah while terming Tariq Hameed Karra’s resignation as “commendable” expressed hope that other pro-India politicians/people will also introspect and join their people in anti-India movement.
“Though Tariq Hameed Karra had been associated with pro-India party but the killings of his own people shook his conscience and he bade adieu to party and parliament membership in protest. This is indeed a commendable move on his part,” Shah said.
Shah said pro-India politicians/people “have to live and die in this very nation” and now it is a testing time for them to stand with their people who have been the worst victims of Indian brutality.
“They (pro-India politicians/people) must stand shoulder to shoulder with their people and send a clear message to India that they can’t be mute spectators over the massacre of their brethren. This is the right time (for them) to follow the suit of Tariq Hameed Karra as everyone in the prime minister’s office is on job of turning the whole Jammu Kashmir into a slaughterhouse,” he said.
Claiming that Indian State, as part of its anti-Muslim attitude, is hell bent on turning the Jammu Kashmir into ‘Karbala’, Shabir Ahmad Shah said the pro-India politicians/people (of J&K) by resigning can compensate for the pain and agony inflicted on the people.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“The pro-freedom camp and people have kept their doors open for every soul that bats for the (freedom) sentiments of the people. I’m sure you (pro-India politicians/people) too feel the same pain and that your conscience doesn’t allow you to be part of the so-called champions of ‘Mufti’s Vision’,” he said.
The DFP chairman made a humble appeal to all the politicians of pro-India parties – NC, PDP, Congress including Omar Abdullah, Hakeem Yasin, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, Engineer Rashid and others to “come on same page to liberate this oppressed nation from the pangs of slavery and bloodshed”.
“This is the right time for you (pro-India politicians/people) to gain people’s sympathies. Let’s join hands with each other and pledge to cut all relations from Indian institutions and join people’s movement of Azadi,” Shah appealed.
Commenting over the ongoing reign of oppression, Shah said Indian Army has unleashed such level of atrocities in some areas of the State which, due to restrictions on media, are not being highlighted.
Shah also condemned the arrest of a spokesperson of Jammu Kashmir Coalition of Civil Society (JKCCS), Khurram Parvez, who was on way to Geneva to attend the UN Human Rights Council Session. “This reveals the real face of the so-called democratic country,” he said. (KNS)
