Sopore, 04 Apr (KNS) : Army on Monday claimed that they have arrested an active militant of Lashkar e Toiba militant outfit in Ladoora area of Sopore in North Kashmir's Baramulla district. 

 

An army spokesperson told that based on inputs regarding militant presence, Joint forces launched cordon and search operation at Ladoora area of this North Kashmir village. During the operation an active militant of the banned militant organization Lashkar e Toiba was arrested. 

 

He identified the arrested militant as Mohammad Iqbal Khan son of Mohammad Amin Khan resident of Beerwah Budgam of Central Kashmir. 

 

He said, that 01 Chinese pistol alongwith magazine and 05 live rounds were also recovered from his possession.

 

Iqbal was assigned to plan an attack on security forces Personnel and Political leaders. He was earlier apprehended on stone pelting and militancy related charges as well, he said.(KNS)
