Legislators Call on Jal Shakti Minister; Public Issues and Water Supply Infrastructure Discussed

Srinagar, Oct 31 (KNS): A delegation of several Legislators today met Minister for Jal Shakti, Javed Ahmed Rana, at the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, and apprised him of various issues of public importance pertaining to their respective constituencies.

The Legislators who called on the Minister included Sajjad Shafi Uri, Ch. Javaid Iqbal Dhakar, Ch. Zafar Ali Khatana, Salman Sagar, and Shabir Ahmed Kullay.

During the meeting, the Legislators raised a number of issues concerning augmentation and strengthening of water supply infrastructure, improvement of potable drinking water facilities and other related matters aimed at ensuring reliable and equitable water availability to the public.

The Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured them that all genuine demands and developmental concerns would be addressed on priority.

He directed Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers (SEs), and Executive Engineers (XEns) of Jal Shakti Department to maintain close liaison and regular coordination with the Legislators for effective and timely redressal of public grievances.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Rana emphasized that Jal Shakti Department is committed to ensuring sustainable and dependable water supply across all habitations of Jammu & Kashmir.

He urged the officers to work in a mission mode to expedite ongoing projects and to adopt a proactive approach in resolving field-level challenges.

The Minister also appreciated the Legislators for their conscientious efforts and continuous engagement in addressing the developmental aspirations of the people in their constituencies.

He encouraged them to continue their dedicated endeavours for the welfare and betterment of the public, assuring full cooperation and support from the Ministry.(KNS)
