Srinagar, Jan 20 (KNS): Inhabitants of Lawdara village of north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Friday staged protest against Power Development Department (PDD) for ‘failing to repair their transformer which developed technical snag a few days ago.
The protesters assembled on the main Bandipora-Srinagar road and blocked it for half an hour. The protesters were chanting slogans against the department and were demanding immediate redressal of their genuine grievance.

Witnesses told KNS that dozens of vehicles were seen stranded after the protesters blocked the road.
Protesting inhabitants said that the transformer in their area developed technical snag three days back but the authorities failed to repair the transformer thereby led to the hardships to the residents.
The protesting inhabitants appealed the higher ups to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances at earliest.
However, the residents later dispersed peacefully. (KNS)
