Srinagar December 07 (KNS): The demolition drive was launched by Lakes and Waterways Development Authority today on 07.12.2020 through its Enforcement Wing in which 02 double storey houses, 02 single storey houses, 02 tin wallings and concrete pillars were demolished at Habak, Braine, Teilbal, BaghiRoopSingh and Miskeenbagh . Despite resistance from the public at many places the demolition was carried out successfully. Also several earth fillings by way of encroachments were removed at Braine, Dodh Mohalla and Saidakadal.
All the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction & inlake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions / encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments. Moreover the Tipper/Load carried owners are directed not carry / ferry any construction material in the prohibited area of Dal/ Nigeen Lake without getting permission and in case anybody found shall be dealt as per law (KNS).
