Lawaypora residents without drinking water for Six-months

Srinagar, Aug 27(KNS): The residents of Green house colony in Lawaypora area of Central kashmir's  Srinagar district are facing a severe scarcity of drinking water for last six months owing to an unfinished pipeline.

Locals told Kashmir News Service(KNS), that hat they are facing the worst water crisis for the last six month due to an unfinished waterline connecting the area.“Water pipeline connecting the area was left unfinished in the month of March this year without any reason, " they said. 

"We are having a lot of trouble in these hot summer days as there is shortage of drinking water, " Mohammad Amain a local said. 

The residents said Jal-Shakti Department has failed to provide piped water to the area despite direction from the Government. 

The locals appealed to the Srinagar  administration to intervene and redress their genuine demands(KNS).
