Srinagar December 03 (KNS): The department of law, university of kashmir brought laurells in the annual talent show called Sonzal 2022 by bagging first position in the play entitled as "inkaar"
The play " inkaar" raises awareness about the menace of acid attacks and it generated the awareness to common public by putting forward the different provisions and sections regarding the acid attacks and the remedies available to the victims and was scripted by Advocate Ehaan Ali and directed by Irfan Gul which caught the breaths of the audience.
This play was performed by the members of the law school theatre society which comprises of 18 members and out of which 9 members performed the play at the convocation hall of University of kashmir under the guidance of teacher incharge of law school theatre society Astt. Professor Hakim yasir Abass.
The cast included Ehaan Ali, Farah Farooq, Irfan Gul, Tajala Yaseen, Danish jahangir, Bashi khan, Nida wani, Nosheen shah,Sheeraz Ahmad and shahid Rasool Kirmani.
The sonzal festival includes literary and cultural activities as well as competitions in 25 events including painting, mehandi, debates, mime etc.
The law school theatre society thanked cultural officer, shahid Ali khan for providing platform to showcase their talent.
On this occasion, the Head and Dean of department of law,Professor Beauty Banday encouraged the students and made clear that she will always stand firm to help her students in various curricular and co curricular activities.
Vice Chancellor of university of kashmir, Professor Neelofar khan discussed the themes of this festival and according to her university's main focus is to carve out the talent of young students.(KNS)
