Lavista restaurant organises three-day art workshop, young artists showcase Kashmir’s heritage

Bandipora, May 22 (KNS): Lavista Restaurant on Friday organised a three-day Art Workshop in Bandipora, providing a vibrant platform for young and talented artists from different areas of the district to showcase their creativity and artistic skills.
 
The workshop featured an “Artwork Mela” where participants displayed a wide range of artworks including Acrylic Paintings, Modern Calligraphy, Paper Mache items and Embroidery Hoops. The exhibition beautifully reflected the rich culture, traditions and heritage of Kashmir, attracting appreciation from visitors and locals alike.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Saleem, owner of Lavista Bandipora, said the initiative was aimed at encouraging local talent and providing young artists with opportunities to present their hidden creativity before the public.
 
“The youth of Bandipora possess immense talent. We want to motivate them and provide a proper platform where they can display their artwork and inspire others towards creative activities,” he said.
 
He further informed that a free dedicated space has been kept available inside Lavista Restaurant for local artists and craftsmen so they can continuously exhibit their art and connect with people interested in Kashmiri culture and creativity.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
Among the participants was Hanan, a Class 9th student from Nowpora Bandipora, who shared that he started his artistic journey at the age of 10.
 
“Art gives me happiness and confidence. I feel proud whenever I create paintings and artistic pictures,” Hanan said.
 
Another participant, Sadaf Manzoor, a Class 12th student and resident of Bagh Bandipora, also expressed her passion for art and creativity.
 
“I love this art and I want to continue learning and improving my skills,” she said, adding that she has been pursuing art since 7th standard. “My parents are my biggest supporters. They always encourage me to continue this art.”
 
Visitors and locals appreciated the workshop and said such initiatives are important for promoting creativity among youth, preserving Kashmir’s cultural identity and encouraging young artists to come forward and showcase their talent. (KNS)
