Srinagar, Jan 06 (KNS): Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today visited Rajbagh residence of Muhammad Akhter Nizami, former MLA Ramban/Banihal who passed away at SKIMS here on Wednesday after a brief spell of illness.
Recalling the contribution of the deceased, Bukhari termed Late Nizami as a great social workers who had a vast base comprising of people of different shades of opinion and belonging to all walks of life.
He said that Late Nizami was as a veteran who was known for his socio-political activities and was popular for his innate etiquettes and socialization with friends which will surely be seen as a huge loss for the society.
“Everybody who knew him is saddened by the loss of Late Nizami Saheb. Meanwhile, the Minister for Education also visited Solina Rambagh to offer condolences to Mohammad Afzal, the senior PDP worker, on the demise of his son-in-law and later visited the residence of Ghulam Ahmad Ganaie who passed away at Hakim Bagh in Rawalpora after a brief period of illness. Bukhari also visited the residence of Lateef Ahmad Ahangar in Rawalpora to pay condolences on the demise of his uncle.
Bukhari prayed for an eternal peace to the departed souls and extended solidarity with the bereaved families. He was accompanied by Mohammad Ashraf Dar, PDP Zone President Amirakadal constituency. (KNS)
