Late Abu Tariq Conferred Rabindranath Tagore Hall of Fame Award

 New Delhi , May 1 (KNS): 

Late Abu Tariq Gh. Nabi Mir, a noted Kashmiri writer, publisher, religious scholar and renowned Naat Khawan from Dooru Shahabad in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, has been posthumously honoured with the Rabindranath Tagore Hall of Fame Award by the Welred Foundation, a non-profit organisation.
 
The organisation presented him with a Certificate of Excellence in recognition of his “outstanding contribution as an excellent author” and for his lifelong dedication to literature, Islamic scholarship and social service.
 
Abu Tariq Gh. Nabi Mir was widely respected across Jammu & Kashmir for his scholarly and literary contributions. He authored and published several books related to the Islamic history and spiritual heritage of Kashmir and remained associated with various religious and intellectual forums throughout his life.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe was founder of Institute of Research and Writers Academy, Doru Anantnag and was actively associated with Hamayat-e-Islam Jammu & Kashmir and Ghausia Khanaqah.  
 
Known for his deep spiritual insight, progressive outlook and community service, Mir earned immense respect in literary and religious circles. Tributes poured in from across Kashmir following his demise in December 2024, with scholars, journalists and social leaders remembering him as a guiding light and a voice of wisdom.  
 
The award certificate, bearing No. WF/7602/2026, was issued on May 1, 2026, and signed by Welred Foundation Directors Rasbihari Kayet and Shrabani Kayet. The citation states that his dedication and literary legacy continue to inspire generations. (KNS)
