Langate, May 19 (KNS): Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) on Sunday welcomed the floating of the tender for the Water Supply Scheme for Langate Town under AMRUT 2.0, terming it a major victory for the people of Langate town and a result of unwavering public service commitment.
In a statement issued to KNS, AIP Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said: “The tendering of this vital ?490 lakh water supply project for Langate town is a direct result of the firm and fearless leadership of AIP founder and incarcerated Member of Parliament, Er. Rashid, who, despite being on interim bail from Tihar Jail, convened a high-level meeting with the Chief Engineer of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department to ensure this long-standing demand of the people of Langate was not delayed any further.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
“Later, MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed pursued the matter with dedication, ensuring that the proposal advanced through all procedural hurdles and culminated in the publication of the e-tender on May 17,” he added.
Inam further emphasized the pivotal grassroots role played by Advocate Shahanwaaz, former Chairman of the Municipal Committee Langate.
The party expressed gratitude to the people of Langate for their patience and resilience and reiterated its resolve to fight for development, dignity and the democratic rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
