‘Some persons catch fish by adding bleaching powder in Mawar canal’

Srinagar, July 04 (KNS): Residents of Langate area in Kupwara district expressed deep resentment against the district administration for failing to nab users of bleaching powder in Nallah Mawar for preying on fishes.
Locals in Khahnu, Babagund and Yaroo villages in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district said that some men are polluting the water of Mawar stream that they use for drinking and washing.

Officials said that strict action will be taken against the persons who are adding beaching powder with the drinking water for catching fishes
Tehsildar and SHO Langate told KNS that predators of fishes are risking the life of general public. “Strict action will be taken against those found guilty,” they said. (KNS)
