Srinagar, Mar 13 (KNS): The health and medical education department on Monday ordered designation of community health centre(CHC) Langate, as 50 bedded Associate Hospital of GMC Handwara.
"Sanction is hereby accorded to Shifting of Administrative Control of CHC Langate from Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir to Government Medical College Handwara," reads an order issued by the government.
It said that the designation of CHC Langate as 50 bedded Associate Hospital of GMC Handwara.
The order further said that the Hospital as referred above, shall henceforth serve as Referral Hospital/ Associated Hospital attached with the New Government Medical College Handwara, being established in District Kupwara (Handwara) in the UT of J&K under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme "Establishment of New Medical Colleges attached with Existing District / Referral Hospitals".
"The above arrangement shall continue till the 500 bedded Hospital at GMC Handwara is made operational," the order added.(KNS).
