Srinagar, May 03 (KNS): The land measuring about one hundred and fifty kanals for establishing Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Brar in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, has already accorded its approval for establishing Vidyalaya at Brar Bandipora.
Informed sources while disclosing this to KNS revealed that infact Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India had proposed to establish Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Naid Khai in Sonawari constituency of Bandipora district several years back when counter insurgent leader Kuka Parrey was MLA Sonawari but that time the proposed Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya was shifted to Shahkoot in Uri Tehsil of Baramulla district.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Sources said the approval for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Brar in Bandipora was accorded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development recently and land for the Vidyalaya was identified recently.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, according to sources, visited the site identified for the Vidyalaya along with a team of senior officers and the work on the construction of a link road to the proposed site under the instructions of state R&B minister Naeem Akhtar is being taken up on fast track basis very soon.
A top government official while confirming that land has been identified for the Vidyalaya said that construction on both the Vidyalaya and the link road will be taken up soon on fast track basis. (KNS)
