Kupwara, Sep 30 (KNS): Minister for Health & Medical Education Chaudhary Lal Singh and Minister for Animal Husbandry and Science and Technology Sajad Gani Lone Wednesday visited Community Health Centre Kupwara. The Ministers took stock of the medical facility being provided to the patients at the centre and interacted with patients and their attendants. The ministers also inaugurated the blood donation camp which was organized by ANMT School in Kupwara Hospital.
The Ministers asked the authorities to equip the hospitals with latest diagnostic facilities and other equipments and ensure availability of all Medicare facilities to the patients so that they do not suffer during their medical investigation. Singh and Lone said that an ambulance and other services would be provided to District Hospital Kupwara within three months.
During the visit to District Hospital Kupwara a large number of locals and civil society met the Ministers and demanded posting of a lady doctor, other paramedics in the hospital. The people also demanded CT scan, Digital X-ray, MRI and others equipment in the hospital.
Chaudhary Lal Singh stressed on regular cleanliness of wards and corridors and maintaining proper sanitation of the hospitals.
Ministers were accompanied by MoS Asiya Naqash, MLA Bashir Ahmad Dar, MP Mir Fayaz, DC Kupwara Rajeev Rajan , SP Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, Director Health, and other District officers and Peoples Conference Senior Leader Mohd Majnoon Mir. (KNS)
