Srinagar, Dec 05 (KNS): Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik was on Monday detained outside Datger Sahab Shrine after he tried to march towards Lal Chowk.
Reports said that Malik who had taken refuge inside Saraibal shrine to evade arrest tried to march towards Lal Chowk.
However, as soon as JKLF chief stepped out from Dastgeer Sahab shrine, police swung into action and detained him to prevent him to march towards Lal Chowk.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Notably, the separatist leadership had called for Lal Chowk chalo today.
Pertinently, police had launched crackdown to arrest Malik while they arrested his nephew Suhaib from Amira-Kadal bridge, reports said.
Police also raided various houses at Saraibala including the residence of Shaheed Ishfaq Majeed Wani. (KNS)
