Lal Chowk BJP Unit Remembers Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya

 Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNS) : The Lal Chowk Constituency on Tuesday organized a solemn commemorative program to mark the death anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, with party leaders and workers paying rich floral tributes to the ideologue whose philosophy of Integral Humanism and Antyodaya continues to guide the BJP’s developmental vision.

 
The event, led by Lal Chowk Constituency BJP President Mehraj U Din along with Morcha presidents, witnessed participation from hundreds of party karyakartas.
 
BJP J&K-Ladakh General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, who attended as Chief Guest, said Pandit Upadhyaya envisioned a development model deeply rooted in India’s civilizational ethos. “His principle of Antyodaya — empowering the last person in the queue — remains the cornerstone of our governance. True progress is measured by how we uplift the most deprived,” Koul said, urging karyakartas to internalize the values of discipline and service.
 
State Executive Member and Minority Morcha Co-Incharge Er. State Secretary Mudasir Wani emphasized that Integral Humanism offers a roadmap for balanced and united national development. “Pandit ji’s thoughts remain a guiding light for strengthening participatory democracy and empowering the common citizen,” Wani said.
 
District President Srinagar Sheikh Salman stressed that Pandit Upadhyaya’s legacy underscores the importance of grassroots connect. “Real political work begins at the ground level. Serving society with sincerity is the true tribute to his vision,” he said.
 
Other prominent leaders present included State Secretaries Arif Raja, State Spokesperson Manzoor Bhat, Media Incharge Adv. Sajid, senior leader Sheikh Bashir, and a large number of local residents and party workers.
 
Speakers noted that Pandit Upadhyaya’s intellectual legacy continues to steer the party’s commitment to inclusive development and social justice. The program concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the values and principles championed by the late leader. (KNS)
