Labourer electrocuted to death, another injured in Rajouri

Rajouri, July 26 (KNS): 24-year-old  labourer was died while another was injured due to electric shock in Budhal area of Rajouri district on Monday 

Officials told Kashmir News service (KNS), that labourers were working on a boundary fencing of 110 General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) camp at Budhal.   

They said labourers came in contact with the live HT wire when they were placing a ladder on wall and suddenly the ladder touched live wire.

 The deceased identified as Mohammad Sageer of 24 years son of Mohammad Bashir of Behrote and another labourer who suffered critical injuries  identified as Mohammad Azam  resident of Kewal.

After providing first aid the injured labourer has been referred  to GMC Rajouri for further medical treatment.

Locals and relatives of both labourer said that incident occurred due to negligence of both GREF and PDD department and action must be taken against guilty . 

They demanded compensation in favour of parents of deceased as he was the lone earner in the home they  also said appealed to government to  release compensation for injured labourer.

Moreover power development department (PDD) official told that we have forwarded a letter to  inspection team  Jammu and team will investigate  the cause of whole incident.(KNS).
