Srinagar April 01 (KNS): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramullah G N Itoo on Wednesday assured that laborers of Uri town stuck in Himachal Pradesh will be taken care of. He also took up the matter with officials of Home Ministry for redressal.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Itoo said he has taken up the issue of 33 laborers who got stuck in Himachal Pradesh in wake of county-wide lockdown that has been enforced as a precautionary measure from the government to keep Covid-19 pandemic away.
"Administration is fully aware of the matter and are concerned for their safety and wellbeing. I have taken up the matter with officials of Home Ministry who assured laborers from Uri will be taken care of", Ittoo said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He added J&K administration is duty bound for the safety of its people and will leave no stone unturned for their wellbeing.
He also added due to Covid-19 outbreak administration has imposed some preventive measures including curbs on the movement of people. "If people will act upon the guidelines in letter and spirit, I assure you that the day is not far when Corona Virus is defeated", he said.
