Kupwara Police held a PCPG meeting at Police Station Sogam.

Baramulla April 08 (KNS):Today a Police Community Partnership Group  (PCPG) Meeting was held by Kupwara Police to strengthen the Police-Public relations in Sogam. The meeting was chaired by Senior Superintendent of Police Kupwara Dr G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy-IPS besides Dysp PC Lolab Aijaz Ahmad-JKPS and DDC Sogam was also present in the meeting.

Number of respectables, DDC,BDC,Panchs and Sarpanchs,member of trade federation, Numberdars and Chokidars of  the area, participated in the meeting and highlighted various issues of public importance.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Kupwara said that such meetings are conducted to solicit the suggestions and support of people for better Policing and would be conducted in the future as well. SSP Kupwara further said that it was his first meeting with the public of Sogam since he assumed the charge as District Police Chief.

He also thanked the people for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions.

Referring to the grievances highlighted by the participants, he assured that these issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal and added that police will provide its legal support as and when required for the betterment of the society accordingly.

SSP Kupwara also said that he and his subordinate officers are round the clock available for redressal of public grievances.

The participants were stressed to cooperate with Kupwara Police in maintaing law and order in the area and in  identifying anti national and anti social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.

The meeting concluded with good note of thanks and appreciations from public side.(KNS)
