Srinagar, Apr 23 (KNS): Authorities on Saturday lifted curbs on the movement of Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Hurriyat (M) spokesperson Shahid-ul-Islam.
Both were under house detention since the Kupwara killings during the subsequent protests over alleged molestation of a minor girl allegedly by an army man took place.

Though none of the government functionaries were willing to come on record, sources said that Chief Minster Mehbooba Mufti was keen to build an atmosphere of peace and the fresh initiative could be a step towards the same. (KNS)
