Srinagar, June 26 (KNS): Deputy commissioner Kupwara Ayushi Sudan on Monday said that the frontier district Kupwara in north Kashmir has a lot of potential in terms of tourism especially border and religious tourism.

In an interview with Kashmir News Service (KNS), Ayushi Sudan said that the priority sector should technically be tourism and other than that there is social sector which includes health and eduction.

She said that these two sectors should also be the priority and there have been issues in the past in terms of shortage of staff and that they will try to resolved it.

“We will also seek cooperation from all heads of the government and civil society members. I personally appeal to all members of the society, PRI members and DDC members as well to come forward and give their feedback with the district administration so that the administration in tandem with these members work together,” she said.

Sudan added that this will help Kupwara make a more vibrant district in toto.

Notably, this is Ayushi Sudan’s first interview after taking over the charges of deputy commissioner Kupwara last week. (KNS)
