Srinagar, Oct 17 (KNS): Kupwara Bar Association, which was on strike from past four days, today called off their strike on the intervention of district and sessions judge Kupwara Sikander Azam.
KBA which was demanding transfer of District Development Commissioner Kupwara over allegation that he has misbehaved and filed FIR against a relative of lawyer who is a member of the bar.
President of Kupwara Bar Association Advocate Gjulam Mohammad Shah confirmed to KNS they called off the strike after district and sessions judge Kupwara Sikander Azam intervened and assured that he will himself investigate into the matter.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He also thanked Bar Associations of Handwara, Tangdhar and Sogam for extending support to the strike by Kupwara Bar Association. (KNS)
