Kupwara admin airlifts woman patient from Keran, facilitates passage to mortal remains

Kupwara Feb 02 (KNS): In a two separate operations the Kupwara administration with assistance of army airlifted a female patient from Snow bound Keran to Kupwara, the administration also facilitate passage to mortal remains of two persons lying in Kupwara for last two days as the road remains shut due to heavy snowfall. 


Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS), said that on Thursday the administration in coordination with Army and other authorities airlifted one female Patient namely Sahana Khatoon from Keran to Zangli Kupwara, the Administration with assistance of army also facilities passage to mortal remains in Kupwara due to shutdown of Karnah Kupwara road. 

 An official said that Aalam Din Khatana son of Abdullah Khatana, and Qalandar Mir, from Tangdarhad passed away two days ago and their body was lying in Kupwara. He also said that on same day a female patient was airlifted from snow bound Keran. 

He said as the families sought help, administration escorted men and machinery to clear the road and facilitate passage to mortal remains to Tanghdar and also arranged a chopper with the assistance of army. 

Meanwhile, the families’ and locals expressed gratitude to district administration, army and Beacon officials for facilitating them during the bad weather conditions. (KNS)
