Kulgam, Mar 08 (KNS): A complete shutdown was observed on the second consecutive day on Tuesday in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district to mourn over the killing of a Hizb militant, Dawood Ahmad Sheikh who was killed in an encounter on Sunday late evening.
Reports said that all the shops and other business establishments remained closed in the district while the traffic remained off the roads.
Reports said that police and paramilitary forces were deployed in the in Qaimoh – native village of Sheikh Alias (Chota Burhan) to thwart any possible protests.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
They said that all the entry and exit points to Qaimoh were sealed by the forces.
Chota Burhan died in a brief gunfight that erupted with government forces in Buchroo village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday late evening. (KNS)
