Kulgam, Nov 18 (KNS): The inhabitants of Reshipora Ahmadabad Damhal Hanjipora village of south Kashmir's kulgam district on Friday staged a protest against Jal Shakti Department for failing to provide adequate water supply.
Miffed over the alleged erratic supply of drinking water, the residents hit the streets and demanded the district administration should provide them with an adequate water supply.
The locals alleged that authorities are unmoved and making no efforts to address the concerns of local populace despite repeated pleas.
"We have been approaching the concerned Jal Shakti officials repeatedly to redress our genuine issue, but nothing has been done so far in this regard," locals said.
They said they demanded there should be an uninterrupted water supply in the village so that the basic needs of people can be fulfilled.
The locals appealed to the Lieutenant Governor led administration & district administration to resolve the issue at the earliest.(KNS)
