Kulgam, July 17 (KNS): In a major legal breakthrough, the Sessions Court in Kulgam on Thursday convicted two individuals in a sensational and long-pending murder case from 2013 that had rocked the Motergam area of the district.
The case, registered under FIR No. 343/2013 at Police Station Kulgam, pertains to the cold-blooded murder of Ab Rashid Dar. The court found Ali Mohammad Dar and Muzamili, the wife of the deceased, guilty of committing the crime in a premeditated conspiracy driven by an illicit relationship between the two.
The murder, which initially baffled investigators due to its mysterious nature, was later uncovered to be a calculated plot by the accused duo to eliminate Rashid Dar. The motive behind the murder was to continue their extramarital affair without hindrance.
During the course of the investigation, crucial evidence was recovered, including a glass suspected to have been used in the commission of the crime, a scarf allegedly used in the act, and a mobile phone containing call records and digital conversations that corroborated the relationship and criminal planning.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

After careful examination of the evidence and legal arguments, the court found both accused guilty under Sections 302 (murder), 120-B (criminal conspiracy), and 34 (common intention) of the Ranbir Penal Code.
Calling it a landmark moment, CPO Aijaz Ahmad Najar said the verdict not only delivers justice to the victim's family but also reaffirms the strength of the legal process in dealing with heinous crimes.
