Srinagar, Mar 19 (KNS): The students of Kashmir University (KU) on Tuesday staged a protest against the custodial death of a youth and summoning of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by National Investigation Agency (NIA).
Scores of students assembled in the premises of Kashmir University in this afternoon and chanted slogans against the government.
The students demanded investigation into the death of a youth, who was working as a private teacher, hailing from South Kashmir's Pulwama district.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Also, they termed the summoning of Mirwaiz to National Investigation Agency (NIA) as ‘interference in religious affairs’, demanding that "such acts must be stopped forthwith." (KNS)
