Srinagar, Feb 01 (KNS): Police Monday detained scores of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) members after they staged protest against the government for failing to rehabilitate flood affected traders.
KTMF has also called for shutdown on Tuesday across the Valley and has warned the state government of dire consequences.
While speaking with KNS, KTMF Vice president Muhammad Siqid Baqal, said that the government is continuously forcing the Valley traders to take streets.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“The government has miserably failed to rehabilitate the flood hit traders. Despite several assurances by the government, the authorities failed to fulfill their promises,” Baqal said.
He said that if government will fail to rehabilitate them then they will stage Valley wide protest against the government for which the government will be responsible.
Meanwhile, police intercepted the protesters and bundled scores of them. (KNS)
