KTA delegation calls on Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Discusses a slew of issues including completion of smart city project

 Srinagar, June 8 (KNS):  A delegation of Kashmir Traders Alliance (KTA) on Thursday called on Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri to discuss a slew of issues confronting the trade and business community of Kashmir. A delegation led by KTA President, Aijaz Ahmad Shahdar apprised the Divisional Commissioner about the issues confronting the business community and sought their immediate redressal from the administration. Sajad Hyder, Mehraj ud Din, Sajad Din, Tanveer Khan, Pervaiz Ahmad, Riyaz Wani, GM Bhat and Fayaz Ahmad were part of KTA delegation that met the Divisional Commissioner. 

A statement issued here said that the delegation discussed the issue of the slow pace of the smart city project in Srinagar and also the issue of unannounced power cuts which are leading to business losses. "Divisional Commissioner gave us a patient hearing and assured us that all the issues confronting the business community will be resolved on priority. He stated that smart city projects in Lal Chowk will be completed by the end of this month and other projects will also be completed on priority," Shahdhar said. 

 

Regarding power cuts, Shahdhar said that the Divisional Commissioner stated that the power cuts in some areas are due to the installation of smart meters and once the exercise is completed, Kashmir is having a round-the-clock power supply. At the end of the meeting, the KTA delegation thanked the Divisional Commissioner for giving time to them and listening to their greviances patiently and assuring immediate action.(KNS)
