KTA calls for better management of hospitals

Srinagar,12 April (KNS): Kashmir Trade Alliance(KTA) has expressed concern over the lack of necessary equipment in the hospitals earmarked for the treatment of  Covid 19 and demanded to immediately increase the number of oxygen beds in the hospitals and other equipment should be available AJaz Shahdhar said that while the number of cases of the corona is increasing day by day and the capacity of hospitals to keep these patients is also depleted.

He demanded from the Governor's administration to earmark more hospitals and medical facilities centres to deal with corona disease. Shahdar said that the administration and especially the health department should also identify other places and hospitals on war and emergency basis where patients with covid can be treated.

President Kashmir Trade Alliance also questioned the efficiency of the management of these hospitals. He said that Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital, Rainawari which is located in the heart of the city and treats patients from the City and adjoining areas, has been experiencing 15 to 20 Covid deaths in the last 15 days. He questioned the mismanagement in the hospital.

He said that the present medical superintendent, who was suffering from a contagious disease, had failed to manage the hospital, and at the same time deputy medical superintendent post is also vacant.

He said that in this situation, patients are facing additional difficulties as a result of important posts are vacant in the hospital.(KNS)
