Srinagar, Aug 04 (KNS): The residents of Langate and Kralgund area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district Thursday offered Zubhar (afternoon) prayers on raods to mark a protest against the civilian killings in Kashmir.
Witnesses told KNS that the people assembled in the areas including Kralgund ad Langate and offered Zuhar prayers on roads.
Meanwhile, the protesters mostly youth blocked the Baramulla-Handwara highway with erecting temporary barricades and are not allowing anyone to ply except Ambulances.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Locals told KNS that the government employees tried to attend their duties today however were asked by the protesters to close their offices and go back to their homes.
“Only employees of essential service departments were allowed to go to the offices,” they said. (KNS)
