Kokernag Cloudburst unfortunate, shocking: Peerzada

 
Srinagar May 3 (KNS): Former JKPCC President and Former Minister Peerzada Mohd.Sayeed today visited Kokernag to take stock of the losses caused due to cloudburst and termed the incident as very unfortunate and shocking.
 
Peerzada interacted with the common people and enquired about their wellbeing after the cloudburst happened at Kokernag. He found the losses caused to the Botanical Garden, Fisheries Project and Trout farm.
 
Former JKPCC President also visited Bindoo Sheikhpora and Kokernag Ganie Mohalla, where he was informed that inhabitants of these areas had a narrow escape, as the cloudburst happened in close proximity thereby making people apprehensive about their future safety.
 
Peerzada laid emphasis over ensuring safety of common people especially from the natural calamities like cloud bursts and also urged the Administration to make the Botanical Garden functional besides replacing the damages so caused to Fisheries Projects and Trout Fish Farms, on priority basis.
 
On this occasion the locals also apprised Peerzada Mohd.Sayeed about the issues being faced by them on account of ration, dilapidated conditions of roads and joblessness and sought their resolution.(KNS)
