Uri, August 15 (KNS): The Senior journalist of News gathering agency KNS Nadeem Khawaja Uri on Saturday was awarded during an Independence day function held here for his exemplary services for highlighting people issues.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Khawaja was appreciated by civil and police administration at an Independence day event held in Uri.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri Reyaz Ahmad Malik, SDPO Uri Junaid Wali and BDC chairman awarded Khawaja at the occasion for his services rendered for society.

Officials hailed Khawaja for highlighting social and developmental issues and acting as a bridge between Government and people for redressal of issues.

Meawhie Khawaja thanked officials particularly administration of Sub-Division Uri and avowed he will continue his efforte for upliftment of society. (KNS)
