Srinagar, Feb 6 (KNS): Kashmir News Service editorial board Saturday held a meeting at its head office in Magarmal Bagh here.
Chaired by the Editor-in-Chief, Mohammad Aslam Bhat, the meeting was attended by KNS editorial members, Maqsood Ahmad, Fayaz Wani, Shabir Malik, Zahid Mushtaq, Bilal Furqani, Mir Farhat, Rahi Nisar, and districts reporters from the valley.
Bhat urged the correspondents to focus on reporting development issues of the valley and maintain the ethics of journalism.
“Our primary responsibility is highlight issues which the people are facing. We as journalists have to act as a bridge between the government and the people,” he said.
During the meeting, it was announced that KNS has cancelled identify cards and will soon issue news cards to its reporters who are working with the news organistaion.
“We have information that some miscreants are misusing the name of KNS. So we have decided to issue new ID proofs which will have specific qualities so that no persons can make an ID card on KNS name and misuse it,” the KNS management said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The management said it will appeal to the administration and people to entertain only KNS new card holders as reporters and correspondents.
Besides complaint will be registered with police against those persons who are using social media like fake Whats App, Facebook and twitter in the name of KNS.
