Srinagar, Dec 31 (KNS): Kashmir Media House (KMH), the publishers of Rising Kashmir (English), Buland Kashmir (Urdu) and Sangarmal (Kashmiri) Thursday announced the Best Staffers award for the year 2015.
Announcing the awards, Managing Editor Hafiz Ayaz Gani said that the three awards will be given every year to the bests staffers, beginning this year. “The awards are aimed at recognizing the good work done by the staffers and will inspire others to work hard and compete with each other” he said adding that many para metres have been taken into consideration while deciding about the Best Three Staffers of the year. “Good stories, conduct in the office, discipline and attendance are among important para metres which have been taken into account” he said adding that it will be regular feature and every year on December 31, these awards will be announced.
This year’s first award has been bagged by Faisul Yaseen, Political Editor (RK), second had been bagged by Aijaz Ahmad Bhat from Administration and third award has gone to Shah Abbas (Buland Kashmir sub editor).Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThe first award carries Rs 10,000, second Rs 7000 and third Rs 5,000 besides a citation and a momento.
KMH is the first media house in Jammu and Kashmir to institute in house awards to recognize the services of its staffers.
Editor in Chief Rising Kashmir, Buland Kashmir and Sangamal Dr Shujaat Bukhari has congratulated the winning staffers and hoped that it would be an encouraging factor for all the staffers. “KMH has set a new trend in acknowledging the good work not only in the field of Journalism but also other areas of work” he said adding “we are here to infuse professionalism in the work and institutionalize the work culture to give a sense of belonging to those who work hard for the organization”. The awards will be given at a ceremony soon after the Editor in Chief returns to office after recovering from the illness that hit him recently. (KNS)
