Srinagar, June 24 (KNS): Senior APHC leader and Chairman Kashmir Freedom Front Syed Bashir Andrabi while addressing a gathering at Reshipora in Pulwama in connection with the Kashmir Day called jointly by pro-freedom leadership urged upon International community including United Nations to fulfill their responsibility and come forward to resolve the long standing Kashmir issue as per the wishes and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Saying that lingering Kashmir issue is main hurdle to forge peace, Syed Bashir Andrabi said the Kashmir issue is internationally accepted dispute as such the responsibilities also lies on two nuclear neighbor countries India and Pakistan to take some tangible and concrete steps for the resolution of Kashmir issue either by referendum or tripartite dialogue so peace can prevail not only in sub continent but in whole Asia.
Strongly condemning the continued arrest spree in length and breadth of Kashmir from the last 27 years, Syed Bashir Andrabi said draconian laws like AFSPA, PSA were giving impunity to the forces to launch regime of terror, killing, arrests, and torture in Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said until and unless people of Kashmir were not given their right to choose their political future, the fight for the Freedom will be continue till the ongoing movement reaches its conclusion. Syed Bashir Andrabi was accompanied by Muhammad Akbar Dar, Showkat Ahmad, Haji Habibulla and others.
Meanwhile Syed Bashir Andrabi paid rich tributes to the seven militants who were killed in in north Kashmir’s Lolab, Dragmulla and Handwara area.
He said the precious lives given for our better political future are real assets of the movement and the day is not far when people of Kashmir will breathe as a free nation other then slaves. (KNS)
