Srinagar, Oct 23 (KNS): A man and his toddler were injured in Kupwara after four walnut kernel dealers attacked him in the district.
Police has booked all the four attackers for attempt to murder but has failed to arrest them yet.
According to KNS correspondent, Ghulam Qadir Awan of Dardpora was approached by four unidentified kernel dealers to sell his stock to them. After buying the kernels, the dealers fell short of money and told Awan to get remaining amount from them in an ATM in Kupwara town.
“But on the way to Kupwara, the dealers blindfolded me and my 4- year old daughter and tried to kick us from the moving vehicle (a load carrier). However, we raised hue and cry near Drugmullah area which invited attention of some people who managed to free us,” Awan said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe said that the four dealers managed to ran away.
Awan said that while rescuing himself from the four attackers he managed to snatch registration documents of the vehicle.
SP Kupwara Aijaz Ahmad Bhat told KNS that they have filed an FIR no. 272 u/s 307 and 392 and have started hunt to nab the four dealers.
Bhat said that the documents indicate that the vehicle is form Parimpora area in Srinagar. “We have alerted the police in Parimpora and we hope that the four persons will be arrested soon,” SP told KNS.
Meanwhile, Awan said that his daughter was severely injured by the attackers and she has been rushed to SMHS for treatment. (KNS)
