Srinagar, Oct 2 (KNS): Expressing strong resentment over the continuous house arrest of Syed Ali Geelani, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Aasiya Andrabi and other pro-freedom leaders and members, the Freedom Party Secretary General Moulana Muhammad Abdullah Tari in a statement to KNS, said the state government at the behest of New Delhi has made it routine to keep the resistance leadership confined to four walls of their houses.
"And for such actions, it (state administration) is neither bound to follow any rule or law nor is it accountable to anyone in this regard," Moulana Tari in a statement issued to press said.Tari said the state rulers, in their arrogance of power, have forgot every promises it had made with people. "Now, they are even unable to listen to their conscience. These rulers shouldn't shy away from confessing that their rule is actually based on 'police raj' and black laws."
Moulana Tari lashed out at administration for "not releasing the Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Syeda Aasiya Andrabi despite being granted bail by court". "She (Aasiya) is being kept behind bars over same false charges for which she spent years in jails."Giving the list of Freedom Party representatives and workers who are arrested by police, Tari said that Abdul Waheed (Kupwara), Bashir Ahmad (Baramulla), Mushtaq Ahmad and Muhammad Shafi (Sopore), Nazir Ahmad and Bashir Ahmad (Islamabad) and Muhammad Amin from Shopian are still lodged in police stations and are not released yet.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHe termed the continuous detention of party Chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah as "cowardice" of authorities and said the "no bullet but talks" proved a hollow and deceptive slogan. He said Mufti is just a puppet and all control is in hands of Delhi and Nagpur.
"In 2015, Shah was kept under house arrest for 118 days and prevented from offering 30 Friday and 2 Eid prayers," he said.Meanwhile, the Freedom Party Secrets General Moulana Abdullah Tari while paying glowing tributes to Handwara martyrs on their 26th anniversary reiterated pledge of taking their mission forward. "In the garb of a trivial incident, the brutal occupational forces gunned down 22 innocent persons and set ablaze the whole area."Tari expressed sympathy and solidarity with the martyrs' families and said the resistance camp will continue to fight for the mission of martyrs.
