Handwara, Jan 04 (KNS): Senior People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader and state coordinator Ghulam Nabi Pandithpori on Tuesday urged the district administration Kupwara to keep men and machinery on alert ahead of heavy snowfall on January 5/6.

In a statement issued here, the senior PDP leader said that the district administration must keep their men, machinery, and other departments on alert mode to provide hassle-free movement to the general public.

During the harsh winter, he also reminded authorities to provide electricity and drinking water in the frontier district.

He further said that the authorities must keep snow clearance machines at their respective headquarters to avoid the blockade of roads due to snow. (KNS)
