Jammu, Jul 24 (KNS): Abdul Majid Wani General Secretary J&KPCC & former R&B Minister today criticized few politicians who are trying to deepen the gap between Jammu and Kashmir regions by raking up controversy on Dogri & Kashmiri language.
Few political leaders are trying to play with sentiments of both the regions by raising issue of recent sanctioned posts of lecturers of Kashmiri language in Jammu Region.
Asking these forces to desist from vitiating the peaceful atmosphere of Jammu region, Majid Wani said that the both Kashmiri language as well as Dogri language are historical languages and these are good tools for inter exchange of culture & traditions among people, so as to provide cohesiveness in bondage of both regions of our state.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Majid Wani demanded that Dogri language should also be taught in Kashmir valley like Kashmiri language is being in Jammu and an equal number of posts of Lecturers in Dogri language should be sanctioned by the government. This will bridge up the gap between people and people of both the regions will have more understanding of each other.
Dogri language is spoken in Jammu as well as in Himachal Pradesh and because of its historical & linguistic importance, Dogri language was entered in 8th schedule of our constitution. (KNS)
