Srinagar, Jul 12 (KNS): Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Tuesday condemned the killing of more than 30 civilians and injuring hundreds of innocent children, men, women, sick and patients by police and forces post killing of militant commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani.
In the meeting convened by the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, on Monday, 11th of July, the issues relating to the abdication of the authority, shoot to kill innocent people by trigger happy forces, indiscriminate and brute use of fire power, firing of smoke gas inside the SMHS hospital, merciless beating of medical staff, patients and attendants, smashing of ambulances and patient ferrying vehicles, indefensible justification of police and forces action of targeting above waistline causing irreversible damage to eyesight and other sensitive organs, use of pellet guns were discussed.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Chief Minister was reminded about her days as an opposition leader when she lost no opportunity to visit the slain militant’s families and empathize with them but today she was totally absent from the scene as a Chief Minister making it free for all.
The chamber took strong exception to Police version of justifying their act of indiscriminate firing on the protesting people it was impressed upon her that Government should provide specialized treatment to those injured people who had received serious injuries in the police firing. (KNS)
