KBCA organises one day advance training program for Members  

Srinagar, Nov 13 :(KNS)   In a Special Drive of Capacity Building Training for Members of Kashmir Bakers and Confectioners Association, KBCA  in collaboration with the Office of Commissioner, Food & Drugs Administration one day training programme under Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC).

The inaugural training session was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, Food & Drugs Administration Ms. Irfana Ji , Assistant Food Safety Commissioner Hilal Ahmad Mir, Nodal Officer FoSTaC Dr Yamin Ul Nabi,  President Kashmir Traders and Manufactures Federation (KTMF) Haji Mohammad Sadiq Baqal, Prominent Social Activist & National Tv Debater Inam Un Nabi besides Members of KBCA and senior officers of FDA

While welcoming the Senior Officers and Participants , President Kashmir Bakers & Confectioners Association Omar Mukhtar said association is committed to create a pool of trainers that it will be easy for the association to reach out to its members. He further said that, similar trainings will be conducted in phased manner in other districts in near future.

Prominent Social Activist & National Tv Debater Inam Un Nabi appreciated efforts of Kashmir Bakers Association under the dynamic leadership of Omar Mukhtar for continuing the training programs for their members every year. Inam hailed the steps taken by Food & Drug administration Deptt for ensuring food safety and said that, large section of the food business operators in J&K needs such trainings and part of containing and sustained efforts.

Deputy Commissioner Food & Drugs Administration Ms. Irfana Ji in his presiding speech welcomed the trainees and wished them good luck. While hailing the members of Bakers association for maintaining the high quality in Bakery, Irfana said that people use to take bakery products fom Kashmir to different parts of the country.

KTMF President Haji Mohammad Sadiq Baqal while appreciating the efforts of KBCA, emphasized the enforcement officers to update their knowledge and skills and attend as much as orientation trainings.

Assistant Food Safety Commissioner Hilal Ahmad Mir hailed the contribution of Kashmir Bakers Association said Association has contributed a lot in improving sanitary condition of bakers in Srinagar. Later Hilal Ahmad Mir awarded certificates of participation among the participants .

The training was imparted by Khirti Ghautam of Green Food Consultancy besides food safety officer Ms. Nadia . During the training programme the trainees were given basic and advanced understanding of Manufacturing Sector and various food safety aspects including Food Safety Management System, Hazards and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) etc. to minimize hazards and improve safety and hygiene.
