The protesting journalists also said that “the ban on the publication of the daily newspaper is simply an attempt to muzzle the Kashmir media. Government can’t silence the media like this.”
Pertinently, in a written order yesterday, the government conveyed to owner of the Kashmir Reader to stop publication immediately. It cited that the daily was “incited violence” in Kashmir. (KNS)
