Srinagar, Jul 03 (KNS): Rehana Akhter, Stoma Therapist of Department of Nursing Administration SKIMS, was invited by European Council of Enterostomal Therapy to attend ECET 2017 Programme (13th) Conference of the Europen Council of Enterostoml Therapists. The conference was held during 18-21 June at Berlin, Germany.
The theme of this International Conference was “Building Bridges-from west to coast, from south to north: Ostomy and Wounds” Rehana Akhter spoke on High Output Stomas and Managing a Challenging Stoma.
Rehana Akhter is the first Nursing Official Cum Stoma Therapist from Jammu & Kashmir to attend this event.
The objective for this conference was to create a platform for European Nurses and other health professionals working with Enterostoma;l Therapy to get together and share their academic and clinical experience with Ostomy, incontinence and wound care.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThere were 16 scientific sessions and 66 poster presentations. Experts from all over the world presented papers and delivered talks.
Rehana Akhter is working as Stoma Therapist at SKIMS. She has received President of India (Nightingale) Award , Award of Excellence from SKIMS, National Guarave Award. She has several research papers published in standard medical and nursing journals. (KNS)
