Kashmiri Children need facilities to express themselves: Suresh Raina

Anantnag, Dec 6 (KNS): Suresh Raina: Former Indian Cricketer Suresh Raina says children of Kashmir need facilities where they can express themselves.
Talking to KNS duirng trials of young players for his accademy in Anantnag Distrct of South Kashmir, he said, "I have come here for talent hunt along with Abid Nabi. Lot of work need to be done here. He has played for Ranji trophy and has been with JKCA. children here are talented. We need to give them the facilities where they can express themselves. So this is not just a talent hunt." "They are very promising . We need to nurture their talent. For that we need to come here again and again. We need to show them what cricket is all about."
He has a message for the children, " I just want to give them what I have done in the past. Children have very less facilities here .I have also come from small place and reached this far .I am in touch with Govt . I want to give them a platform where they can really get the attachment for Cricket. My endeavour is to hone their talent.
Earlier these children have not earlier got facilities."
Suresh Raina Cricket Academy in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has started Conducting trail events from Dooru area of Anantnag .
Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council on Tuesday entered into Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with cricketer Suresh Raina's Cricket Academy to nurture budding talent across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
A Government Spokesperson recently said: To tap immense sports potential and to realise vision of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha of making J&K a Centre of Sporting Excellence, J&K Sports Council entered into a MoU with Suresh Raina Cricket Academy to develop budding cricketers to national and international level."(KNS)
