President of the Kashmir Trade Alliance, Aijaz Shahdhar, said the proactive steps taken by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg and Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo reflect a timely and responsive approach to one of the most pressing civic issues faced by the people of Srinagar.
Shahdhar said that traffic congestion has emerged as a chronic problem, affecting the movement of commuters, traders, students, and emergency services. He added that the recent measures taken by the administration to streamline vehicular flow and clear bottlenecks have brought visible relief on several busy stretches. He further said the Kashmir Trade Alliance believes that sustained enforcement, improved regulation, and coordinated planning are essential to ensure long-term easing of traffic pressure in the city. He urged the administration to continue monitoring the identified congestion points and to work towards creating additional parking spaces, rationalising street vending zones, and improving public transport facilities in Srinagar.
Shahdhar said the Alliance is committed to extending full cooperation to the administration in all initiatives aimed at improving mobility and ensuring a smoother urban experience for residents and visitors. He expressed hope that these efforts will continue with the same momentum so that Srinagar moves towards a more organised and commuter-friendly system.
